Let me show you how it started.

In my conversation with Jasmine*, I asked her to read one of her journal entries:

As I enter tonight’s journal entry, I sit here thinking I’m not sure what happened to me.

I don’t feel the same anymore, not toward my spouse, not toward myself.

I’m overwhelmed by life stressors, and they seemed to have taken over my spirit, energy, and relationships.

I feel anxious, depressed, disconnected – and most of all, confused.

I want to feel good again

I want the love of my life to see me again.

I want to have confidence in myself and my marriage.

Most of all, I want to live again.

I want to feel happy, healthy, whole – and complete.

What about me?

Sometimes we get stuck in what others expect from us.

It’s exhausting to continually try to live up to someone else’s expectations – whether it’s family, colleagues, a spouse, or even a friend.
